Today June 7th, some of our pupils headed off on the annual Rotary Club kids day out. We left school in a big bus eireann bus and headed off to Irish Independent Park. There we were greeted by members of Rotary Cork who gave us numbers to match a car that we would travel in next, of course there was a mad rush for the 2 stretch Limos that were there. We were taken upstairs to the club house where all the kids had the choice of chocolate, crisps, drinks, fruit, jellies and popcorn. Once suitably refreshed we headed back downstairs to the balloon man and also to the guard who left the kids sit on the bike. The fire brigade was also there and left kids in to beep the horn. When everyone was ready it was into the cars and we were taken by Garda escort to Chuckies. A great time was had by everyone there. After that we went to Mcdonald’s in Douglas for chips, burgers, nuggets and drinks. Everyone was stuffed leaving and given a bag of sweets heading home. It was a fantastic day as always and we would like to say a huge Thank You to every member of Rotary Club Cork who organised the day and all the drivers for looking after us.
